From New York City by Car via the North Fork to Greenport-Shelter Island Ferry:
Take the Long Island Expressway to last exit, number 73 in Riverhead. When you come off that exit, you will be heading east on County Road 58. County Road 58 becomes Route 25 on the other side of Riverhead. It is about a 45 minute drive from the end of the expressway to Greenport. In Greenport you will pass the High School on the left side. Within 2 blocks - on the right side - you will see markers for Route 114 and Shelter Island Ferry. Follow those markers - down side street - to ferry landing.Follow directions below "From North Ferry."

From New York City By Bus via the North Fork to Greenport-Shelter Island Ferry

From New York City By Train to Greenport-Shelter Island Ferry:
Long Island Railroad to Greenport ferry. For schedules and fares or to buy a ticket online, please visit the website of the Long Island Railroad.

From New England by Car via the Cross Sound Ferry to Greenport-Shelter Island Ferry:
Take the Cross Sound Ferry (reservations required, call (631) 323-2525 from New London, CT to Orient Point, then Route 25 to Greenport-Shelter Island Ferry.

From New York City by Car via the South Fork to North Haven-Shelter Island Ferry:
Take the Long Island Expressway to the Sunrise Highway (Route 27). The Sunrise Highway turns into County Road 39. North onto Sandy Hollow Road (look for sign to Sag Harbor)) to North Sea Road, then right onto Noyack Road. Left at The Waterside Restaurant onto Long Beach Road (turns into Route 114 at the circle). Take 114 to end, South Ferry Landing. Follow directions below "From South Ferry."

From North Ferry:
When you exit the ferry, you will be on Route 114 South. Follow 114 South as it winds across the island towards the southeast. Center Island, you will encounter a roundabout across from the town school. Continue on 114 South until you reach a second roundabout which intersects with South Cartright Rd. Just before you reach the roundabout you will pass Tyssie's gas station and the Vine Street Cafe on the left. There is a dirt road directly across the roundabout, marked by a telephone pole with the numeral 47. Approximately 0.6 miles down the dirt road you take a fork to the left. The house is a further 0.6 miles down the road and is the first house that you will see on the left. Note the pond in the foreground.

From South Ferry:
When you exit the ferry, you will be on Route 114 North. Follow Route 114 North until the first roundabout (that interesects with South Cartright Rd). You will see a dirt road to your right as you circle the roundabout, marked by a telephone pole with the numeral 47. Approximately 0.6 miles down the dirt road you take a fork to the left. The house is a further 0.6 miles down the road and is the first house that you will see on the left. Note the pond in the foreground.
